This beautiful little rifle features full round barrel, sporting sight, 2/3 tubular magazine, blued finish, takedown, post-war flat bottom grooved walnut forend, plain pistol grip walnut stock and checkered steel buttplate. Receiver not grooved. This rifle exhibits master engraving, scroll with punch dot background that covers 7" of barrel, the entire frame. Left side of frame also features engraved woodland scene with silver inlay dog chasing a rabbit. Right side has an engraved tree branch with silver inlaid squirrel. CONDITION: Frame retains 85-90% of the post-engraved reapplied finish. Barrel is thinning on top with a couple of handling spots on side. Buttstock has been refinished to near new condition but there is a repaired 2" crack on right side of pistol grip that is barely noticeable. Barrel also has some light freckling here and there. Fine action. Bore exhibits visible lands with frosted grooves. Very handsome rifle as custom engraved and inlaid.
