Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, sporting front sight, three leaf folding Winchester rear sight, tang sight, takedown, blued finish, case colored hammer and lever, walnut stocks and rifle butt. This fine condition, all original, antique rifle exhibits razor sharp edges and markings on barrel, retaining approximately 90% original blue with most wear on the high octagon edges. 70% original blue on the full takedown tube mixing with brown patina and wear from takedown. 70% original blue on nose cap. Takedown ring is basically blue-brown patina. 85% blue on bolt. 85% bright factory blue on both sides of frame with visible striations and patina starting to show through. Bright case colors on sides of lever. Patterns of case color on hammer. Wood is excellent, extremely clean with light handling abrasions. Fine action. Sharp rifled bore but grooves are frosted. Beautiful, early, antique-range takedown; a classic rifle all around in better than average condition.
