Very good. Note: Signed on verso "C. Hassam". Childe Hassam was known as a pioneer of American Impressionism and renowned for painting scenes of every day life in the Northeastern United States. He was a founder of the "Ten American Painters" and of "The New York Water Color Club". The artist enjoyed capturing scenes of city life as illustrated in several of his capacities, such as the one offered here. Provenance: From the Private Collection of a well-known Fine Art collector from Southern Maine. CORRECTION: We cannot guarantee this painting as by Childe Hassam, but rather an American School painting signed of “Hassam” on the verso in the Impressionist style of Childe Hassam.
