An fascinating music box manufactured by Kalliope in the 1890s, also serving as a Christmas tree stand. It is housed in a lovely mahogany cabinet with gilt accents and brass hardware. The chalice looking piece above is where the small Christmas tree resides and as the music plays, a spring mechanism slowly rotates it. Plays 7" discs and includes the disc, Kalliope 337 Killarnoy. Has the serial no. 129258. There is moderate wear throughout, scratches on the wood and aging on the hardware. Includes a total of ten perforated discs.
