Lot contains" (A&B) two Army Officer swords, (C&D) two Navy Officer swords, and (E&F) two NCO Type 32 swords. (A) Imperial Japanese Army officer's sword with a 28-1/2" blade in overall excellent condition. Blade is in near mint condition, with jagged temper line and light runner marks. Fittings have an even patina and wire-wrapped trylon grip are excellent, with several strands of wire being loose. Nickel plated brass scabbard is very good with a number of dings. (B) Army officer's sword with a 28" blade in overall very good condition. Blade is very good, with numerous small dings to blade edge and freckling. brass fittings and wire-wrapped trylon grip are excellent. Nickle plated steel scabbard is in good condition, with less than 50% of its nickel plating remaining, with freckling. (C) Imperial Japanese Navy officer's sword with a 26" blade in overall excellent condition. Blade is in near mint condition, with light runner marks and scattered light marks. Brass fittings with folding cross guard and wire-wrapped eel grips are excellent. Leather scabbard with brass fittings are very good to excellent, with light areas of wear to leather. Portepee is attached. (D) Navy officer's sword with a 27" blade in overall excellent condition. Blade is in very good condition, with freckling to approximately 15-20% of its surface. Gilted brass fittings with folding cross guard and wire-wrapped eel grips are near mint. Ray skin scabbard with gilt brass fittings are excellent to near mint. (E) Imperial Japanese NCO Type 32 saber with a 32" blade in overall good condition. Blade and fitting have suffered from heavy freckling, and have been heavily buffed. Steel plated scabbard has a number of dings. (F) Type 32 saber with 32" blade in poor condition. Blade and fittings have been chrome plated, and scabbard is missing.
