Lot contains: (A) Four German World War II k98k rifle bayonets, (B) Four German World War II dress bayonets, (C) Imperial German M98 bayonet, and a (D) French M1866 bayonet. (A) Four completely mismatched k98k rifle bayonets with scabbards, in overall very good to excellent condition. They date from 1939 to 1943 with various makers, with one blade having been sharpened. Four scabbards date from 1936 to 1943, with various makers. Three bayonets have their original leather frogs. (B) Four dress bayonets in overall very good to excellent condition. Two are marked "Tiger", one is marked "Henckel", and one is marked "Evertz". One blade has been lightly sharpened. All four scabbards retain their original black painted finish, and the have leather frogs. (C) Imperial Model 1898 Quillback bayonet in overall very good condition. Blade is excellent, and fittings retain 35-40% of their nickel plating. Scabbard is very good with freckling to its nickel plated steel fittings. (D) Model 1866 French bayonet in overall very good to excellent condition. Made in 1871 the blade appears to have been sharpened. Steel scabbard retains a nice even patina. Mismatched numbers.
