(1910) 25" and 28" Barrels are both marked "W. W. Greener Maker" and with London and Birmingham addresses in unmatted portions of narrow, swamped game ribs. Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 2 - 1/2" chambers. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with Greener elephant logos, matching serial numbers, and long barrels with "STEEL". Case hardened facile princeps action features side safety, crossbolt third fastener, and double triggers. Action is engraved with line and geometric borders. "W. W. GREENER" is in scrolled terminated riband on each side. Blued top lever, floorplate, and trigger guard are engraved with small sprays of scroll. Serial number and grade are on trigger guard tang. Nicely marbled and very lightly figured European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14" over Silver type pad. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip, and a vacant silver oval is on toe line. Matching splinter forend with inlet horn tip has Deeley release. Gun is housed in good quality English green canvas case with brass corners and brown leather trim. It is lined in burgundy cloth and has gold embossed maroon leather Greener label in lid. Case contains 3 piece rosewood and brass cleaning rod with brush and jag, along with newer Greener marked snap caps and oil bottle. Covered compartment contains an old Silver pad for less length of pull. CONDITION: Excellent, as completely refinished retaining nearly all good quality finishes on all wood and metal with some subsequent handling and assembly marks. Checkering is nicely re-cut. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Case is very fine to excellent with some soiling and minor scuffs on exterior. Interior cloth is very fine. Label is somewhat soiled and rubbed. A light and lively 20 bore. MGM 60
