(1983) 28" Demi-bloc barrels fitted with matted, ventilated rib are marked "P. Beretta - ITALY" on left side of top barrel. Bottom of mono-bloc is stamped with grade, serial number, and 1983 Italian nitro proofs for 2 - 3/4" chambers. Coin finished proprietary Beretta low profile OU sidelock action features non-automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage large shaded acanthus with floral highlights within geometric and scroll borders. Bottom of action is engraved "BREVETTATO" "ITALY" along with makers name and address. Blued top lever has pierced thumbpiece and blued trigger guard with grade on tang, has gold monogram, "RSG" on bow. Eye-catching well streaked and flame figured European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock measures 13 - 7/8" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip which also has right hand palm swell. Matching slim field forend has Deeley type release. Gun comes with Beretta carrying case with Beretta logos and "PB" woven into cloth covering. Interior is lined in gold velvet with tan leather trim, and contains three piece walnut and brass cleaning rod, snap caps, and a set of four walnut handled turnscrews in covered compartment. CONDITION: Excellent, with evidence of relatively light field use. Barrels retain nearly all light blue with light marks. Coin finish of action is still bright, with a few stains, mostly on top tang. Stocks retain most of their original finish, with some scratches and marks, dulled with 000 steel wool, checkering lightly worn. Case is excellent. MGM72
