Late 19th century, France. The oval top with filigree and a swing handle in the form of intertwined vinery, terminating in flower heads. Opening to a conforming interior with pale green silk lined, lock is engraved "Maison Boissier". Box is similarly decorated with floral lattice work and fitted with original key, raised on a woven vinery base, also lined with tortoiseshell. Tortoiseshell is dried and cracked with age, silk lining with some staining, the brass frame and filigree work is in very good condition.
