Gun (A) is a side by side shotgun stamped H T Jansen in Cole 4. Damascus barrels. Dish rib. Single bead. Gold damascene inlays at breech. Double hammers. Deep chisel relief engraved upper tang. Back lock is like engraved, with gold inlaid dog and rabbit. Forward part of frame has gold inlaid antlered game. Under lever features an ornate carver design at tip with deep relief engraved body and gold inlaid vignette of a partridge. The same engraving can be found on the trigger guard with another partridge. Has a decorate horn extension. Right side is similarly engraved and has gold inlays of dog, duck, and two pheasants. Both fore end and stock are checkered. Has a beautiful dark wood grain. Smooth steel shotgun butt plate. All metal is brown patina. This was a very expensive arm when it was originally manufactured, judging by the gold inlays and engraving. Double triggers. Bores are fairly shiny with some old residue that should clean fine. Gun (B) is a 12 bore double hammer one piece stock shotgun. Stamped A Schutt. Laminated steel barrels. Sideplates are stamped lane. This gun is unsafe and basically a wall hanger. Barrels are rusty, walnut stock is cracked. Simply for decoration.
