Comprising: A) Albanian Miquelet musket, the octagonal iron barrel has a swamped and faceted muzzle section. The top three flats are profusely overlaid with silver floral scroll work. The barrel is retained by five brass and steel capucines all engraved with repeating foliate designs. The rear sight tang is ornately chiseled. Standard stock of steel with wooden butt section of familiar Albanian form. Steel Albanian miquelet lock with indistinct maker's mark. Stock has scattered brass flowers inlaid into decoration. CONDITION: very good with dark patina overall and some minor damage to underside of stock below rear sight. This is a particularly decorative and attractive example. B) Moroccan snaphaunce with two stage steel barrel, plain lock, and bone decorated stock. Fair condition, with a break through stock and some areas of restoration. Shows heavy use overall and steel components retains a dark patina.
