Standard model 1884 trapdoor rifle. 1890 dated cartouche. Original cleaning rod. Made without trap in butt. Buffington rear sight. 3 click tumbler. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing patina overall with some light areas of surface rust and pitting. More moderate pitting on the triggerguard bow and on the barrel towards the muzzle on the bottom. Missing the front sight blade and the adjustment screw from the rear sight ladder. Wood is good with dings and handling marks, there is a scratch in the top of the wrist area. Good inspectors marks in wood. Bore is good with sharp rifling and areas of pitting.
