This gun features the hinged or pivoted breechblock, without a central guide screw on the right side of the receiver. Approximately 7,000 of these were produced, continuing the serial number range of the 2nd and 3rd models. Matching numbers. Has "WS" neatly carved into the left side of the stock. CONDITION: Good, retaining a pleasing even age patina. Some light pitting. All markings are clear. Rear sight may be a replacement, certainly the rear sight ladder is. Saddle ring bar could be a replacement as well. Wood is solid with dings and handling marks. Does not appear to have any visible cartouches. Good mechanical function. Bore is good with strong rifling and areas of roughness and pitting.
