This fine Model 21 "Skeet Grade" was likely made in 1947 and features 28" barrels with full length matted rib which is fitted with a steel mid and red front bead. The barrels have proper markings on left tube, SN on flats, and "WS-1" and WS-2" choke markings on bottoms of tubes. The gun features a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, and non-auto safety. The unengraved receiver is properly marked "Skeet" on bottom of triggerplate. The beavertail forend is checkered in standard "Skeet" grade pattern with roll type opener. The buttstock is of XX flame grained American Walnut and features two point checkering through the wrist, a Winchester brand capped pistol grip, and a finely checkered butt. CONDITION. Excellent overall. The barrels retain more than 95% original blued finish. The forend has a tiny chip (smaller than the whites of a fingernail) at front near left tube but is otherwise sound and retains nearly all of an older professionally restored finish. The buttstock is sound and retains nearly off an its original finish with some highpoint wear and thinning at grip area. The action retains more than 90% original blue with some highpoint edge wear and handling wear. Mechanics are crisp and bores are brilliant and shiny. A fine Skeet Grade Model 21!
