Model 1943 Wehrmacht rabbit fur lined winter parka in Italian camouflage, in overall excellent condition. These parkas were issued to German forces on the Eastern Front in 1943, after two brutal winters there. Camouflage pattern is still bold and vibrant, with slight fading, as compared to parts of the parka which are protected from the elements. The entire parka, to include the hood, is lined in rabbit fur which is still completely intact, and in excellent condition. Parka is closed via an eight button concealed button front, and while all eight buttons are original, it appears that four have been replaced. Of the eight front button holes, four have been wartime reinforced with several machine stitched lines of thread. The four pockets on the front have flaps and are secured by four original buttons which match the the four frontal buttons which are original to the parka. The parka does not appear to have any holes or damage, other than some soiling to the lower pocket flaps and the lower inside of both sleeves. There is a light oily stain of approximately 8" in diameter on the lower left pocket.
GERMAN WWII ITALIAN CAMOUFLAGE WINTER PARKA.
