This lot contains a fairly uncommon Third Reich Deutsche Jungvolk Trumpet with Banner. The Deutsche Jungvolk, abbreviated as "DJ", Banner and Trumpet are in, overall, near mint condition. The brass trumpet shows a very even, uncleaned patina from age and is in excellent to near mint condition. All of the originally brazed fittings show no signs of previous tampering so appear to be totally untouched. With the exception of one very small ding in the trumpets primary tube, the rest of the trumpet shows no signs of current or previous dents. The trumpets mouthpiece is also included. The "DJ" Banner is in near mint condition. The black cotton twill backing has a large white cloth "Sig Rune" attached to the center by means of a machine applied zig-zag stitch pattern. Only a very light yellow hue has developed over the white from age, and one side has a very small area of freckling. The edge of the banner is lined with a twisted bullion fringe which is still securely attached. The banner is tied to the trumpet and appears to have remained this way for a very long time.
