Factory letter states this rifle was shipped November 27, 1894. Besides being 50-110 Ex this rifle exhibits several scarce special order features. Half octagon, half round barrel with lyman sheared front sight and buckhorn rear. Roll stamped address with 50 Ex caliber marking near receiver. Button half magazine. Case hardened frame, lever ,hammer and nosecap. Upper tang marked "Model 1886" with italics serial number on lower.Plain walnut stock and forearm with smooth steel widow's peak shotgun style butt.CONDITION: Barrel retains 80% fading blue with several scratches on bottom side of barrel and some light freckling. Bore is excellent with mirror finish. Action has 70% case colors with some peppery oxidation wore silvery where you carry it. Action screws and tang screws have been turned and exhibit damage. Loading gate has 60% blue wore to the touch. Bolt has 90% blue with light freckling. Lever has fading case colors worn to silver where you would touch it. Nosecap and buttplate worn to a silvery patina. Wood retains 70% original finish with noticeable marks on right side and some light scratches on the left. Forearm has ding on left side that resembles a shell casing and some noticeable scratches on the right. Mechanically sound rare rifle.
