German Wehrmacht Model 1936 infantry Hauptfeldwebel (senior NCO) tunic in overall very good condition. Tunic has pleated pockets with scallops, and is a very solid field worn example, with several era repairs on the lower half of each sleeve, as well as the left pocket. The nap is worn on several areas and there are several minor holes. The early green collar has several era repairs as well. NCO tress and collar Litzen are machine sewn and era applied. Eagle is hand applied in the proper manner, with the top being folded and sewn before the remainder of the eagle is attached. Shoulder straps are sewn in and appears to have been era done. Ciphers to the 79th Infantry, NCO tress, and two ranks pips are era applied to each strap. Straps are green wool with white wool piping, which is slightly discolored. Tunic is partially lined in a light gray cotton, and the lining is excellent with two minor era repairs. While the tunic is marked on the inside right, the markings are faint and illegible. Tunic is medium in size. There are five buttons on the front, four on the pockets, and two on the shoulder boards, and all appear to have been era applied. Inside the left upper pocket are 11 era photos presenting military scenes on the Eastern Front, with several including a Heer NCO. It is unknown if the tunic is in any of the photos. Overall a very nice combat worn early NCO tunic.
