An early Heer Chaplain enlisted visor cap in overall excellent to near mint condition. Wool has no holes or damage. There are a couple of spots on the top and front of the visor which appear to be very minor nap wear or staining. Cap has blue wool crown piping with a green wool band and blue piping. Chinstrap is original to the cap and has light wear, with steel buckles retaining more than 90% of its original black painted finish. Front visor is mint. Eagle and wreath are zinc, with the red paint on the cockade center mostly worn off. Cap has a Christian cross attached under the eagle, but it is unknown as to when it was added. Cap retains its sweat shield and there are no markings on its ribbed rayon lining, which is in near mint condition. Leather sweatband is intact with very minor wear. Unique opportunity to own a visor cap with in a very desirable branch of the German Army, and matches perfectly with the tunic and trousers in another lot.
GERMAN WWII HEER CHAPLAIN NCO VISOR CAP.
