Heer Infantry Officer visor cap in overall very good condition. An early war white piped visor in a field gray wool, which has been made to appear to be pink piped Panzer version. Someone has used a pink marker to change the color of the piping on the top and bottom of the dark green wool band, from white to pink. Top of visor has moderate nap wear. Officer bullion chinstrap has a nice patina, and era applied aluminum wreath and cockade are very good to excellent. Brass eagle has been reapplied at some point. Visor has a 1" crack on the left side having been repaired with glue. Inside sweat shield is missing. Leather sweatband is present but has been replaced. Rayon lining is in good condition.
