This Luftwaffe General's Fliegerbluse appears to possibly be constructed of original parts, but it is unknown if this was done wartime or after. The base tunic is an Officer's tunic made of a fine tricot wool with two lower curved slash pockets. The condition of the base tunic is near mint. The Luftwaffe General Rank Breast Eagle is made of a blue badge cloth base and gold bullion wire, and is skillfully hand sewn to the tunic. The eagle rates near mint with only a very slight even patina. The Luftwaffe General Collar Tabs are made of a white badge cloth base and gold bullion oak leave wreaths with two gulls, designating the rank of "Generalleutnant". The tabs are machine sewn to the collar and are in near mint condition. The perimeter of the collar is piped in a twisted gold piping. Both Generallutnant Shoulder Boards are in near mint condition. They are the sew-in type and held down with a gold screw-down button. The right breast area has four award loops at the top for a long ribbon bar, and four sets below it. The left breast area has one set of award loops. The front flaps of the tunic are held together with four blue plastic buttons and four hidden button holes. The interior of the tunic is lined with ribbed rayon. The lining is near mint. There is a large Berlin manufacturer's tag sewn on the inside lining near the collar. The tag has an even patina throughout and is hand stitched. The interior pocket of the tunic has a small white tailor's label for the tailor "H. Miltenberger, Dresden", and a typewritten name "Gen. Lt. Mahncke". It appears the tag has most likely been added post war to the tunic. During the 1980's these types of tags were known to have been added to uniforms to embellish the values. CONDITION: Near Mint.
