This is a love Model 1876 Open Top London dealer inscribed lever action carbine. The barrel has the British proofs on left side. Frame has British proofs on top. Left sideplate is engraved "LONDON ARMOURY Ja S KERR & CO 54 KING WILLIAM ST EC" (Eastern Central). This carbine features the post front sight, two leaf folding rear sight, single band with forend tip, blued open top frame, saddle ring and stud, case colored hammer and lever, walnut stock and smooth steel carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel legends are sharp. Barrel has a blue-silver homogenous appearance. 30% bright blue on forend tip. 10% bright blue barrel band. Frame has some bright blue in recesses, balance mixing with natural gun metal grey patina on left side; right side has approximately 20-30% bright blue as it fades and blends to brown patina. 75% bright blue on loading gate. Some bright case colors still present on hammer. Event he bolt retains some original blue. Case colors on lever have patterned out. Walnut stocks are proud to metal with beautiful finish and some minor bruises. Strong rifled bore with minor black powder residue. Fine action. This rare dealer marked 1876 carbine is very early and has a smooth, clean blue patina. CORRECTION: Caliber: .45-75
