Coin finished double Kersten OU action features hand detachable pinless sidelocks, reinforcing bolsters, bushed strikers, and double triggers (front set). Action and lockplates are engraved with 80% coverage traditional English style rose and scroll. Bottom of action is engraved "KRIEGHOFF. ULM - PRIMUS". Top lever is blued. Coin finished trigger guard has matching scroll on bow and straight tang. Unusual for a double rifle, buttstock has straight grip and measures 15 - 1/2" over red "Universal" pad. Matching slim one piece forend has Deeley type release. Rifle is mounted with a B. Nickel 1 - 4 X scope in soldered-on claw rings. Weight with scope: 9 lbs 15 oz. Rifle is housed in custom made white oak case with inset crocodile patterned leather panel on top with Krieghoff "K" logo carved into spalted wood trapezoid at left. Interior is lined in burgundy leather and french fitted for rifle and scope, with braided banding around openings. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain nearly all of what appears to be their original blue. Action and locks retain most of their original coin finish, silvered on high points. Stocks retain most of their original finish with a considerable number of marks and scratches, with some oil added as maintenance, and after fitting of newer pad. Checkering lightly worn. Mechanically very fine. Bores are excellent. Scope has many light scratches in its external finish. Lenses clean but with lunate occlusion at bottom of field of view. Case is excellent. MGM 100
