Factory letter states this rifle was shipped as an octagon barrel, half magazine, .45-90 with checkered stock and pistol grip, plain trigger and shotgun butt (checkered steel) on June 30th, 1894. Sights are listed as Winchester Express but is now Winchester sporting. CONDITION: Barrel retains about 95% original blue. Sharp edges and legends. 50% color on left side of frame. 75-80% color on sides of hammer and lever. 85% colors on right side of frame. 75% fire blue on gate. Sharp screws. Beautiful fiery grain triple X wood, proud to metal with sharp checkering; one dent on left side of forearm. Beautiful deluxe finish. Strong rifling with clean grooves.
