This is an extremely rare Model 1886 deluxe Winchester loaded with special features and in one of the rarest of all calibers for this model. This was shipped as a .38-70 half octagon rifle with half magazine, shotgun rubber buttplate, nickel steel and plain trigger on June 25th, 1906. Sights are not listed but comes with a sporting front sight and Winchester two leaf folding rear sight, along with a tang sight. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75% original blue with sharp legends, balance thinning to gun metal grey. Frame has about 50% blue on left side and 40% on right, blending with patina. Flashes of color on lever and hammer. Stocks are proud to metal, exhibit beautiful grain, sharp checkering and pistol grip cap. Well defined rifling with frosty grooves.
