Manufactured in 1898 with a 30 inch half round half octagon number 3 barrel. Deluxe capped pistol griped stocks with "H" checkering and ebony inset Schnabel forearm. Semi Swiss butt plate with mid-range tang sight with 3 inch staff. spirit level target front sight. Chambered for the 32-40 Winchester cartridge. Blue receiver with case colored finger lever and double set trigger. Rifle is mounted with a Winchester A-5 scope on Winchester bases. CONDITION. Excellent + overall with 98% of the factory applied blue finish. Bore is mirror bright with sharp rifling. The receiver is outstanding with only very minor edge wear with over 98% blue finish remaining. The case colored lever is very fine with the colors fading to a smoky appearance. The two piece XXX American walnut stocks are exceptionally fine with several very minor bruises and scratches but over 95% of the piano varnish remains. The Winchester A-5 scope is intact and complete, The lenses are cloudy and need a cleaning. This is really a fine example of THE AMERICAN SINGLESHOT.
