Features full octagon barrel, full nickel plate, one piece walnut grips, roll engraved Naval battle scene on cylinder. All matching numbers to include frame, barrel, trigger guard, backstrap and cylinder. Referred to as the Richards Mason conversion, chambered for the .38 centerfire cartridge. Has the one line barrel address and Colt's patent on left side frame. These low number revolvers were produced in the Colt factory as cartridge revolvers, assembled from new and unnumbered parts with remachined and newly fabricated cylinders and conversion parts. CONDITION: Cylinder retains nearly all of the Naval battle scene and finish. Brass backstrap and trigger guard retain 75% nickel. Balance of gun retains 85% nickel with usual battered area around wedge. Replacement ejector head. Hammer has been repaired and reblued. Fine bore and action.
