One of the most widely used and recognizable Civil War handguns. Inspector stamps can be found on almost every major component of this gun, the majority of which are the letter "H", the others being "L" and "W". CONDITION: All metal surfaces, with the exception of the brass trigger guard, are a smooth blue chocolate patina. Excellent two piece walnut grips with visible but not readable cartouche on left panel. All original nipples. Fine action. Strong, clean rifled bore. Far better than average example.
