This early revolver features factory nickel finish, black powder frame, standard ejector rod head, single line barrel address, triple line left frame patent dates and extremely aged ivory grips. All legends are razor sharp. All numbers match to include frame, trigger guard and backstrap (barrel and cylinder no longer numbered). CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75% factory nickel finish. Cylinder retains approximately 10% original plating. Frame retains approximately 50%. Traces of nickel on straps. Sports a pair of real ivory grips that are very aged and chipped along right panel edge, toe and top, and general cracking. All four Colt clicks index and lock cylinder up correctly. Bore exhibits strong rifling with sharp lands and frosted grooves; very minor residue. Very nice nickel cowboy revolver. Factory letter states serial number 75019 was part of a 60 gun shipment on January 6th, 1881 to one of New York's largest stocking dealers, J.P. Moore's & Sons, New York. Left the factory in .45 caliber with nickel finish. Grips and barrel not listed which would indicate 7-1/2" and varnished walnut (standard). Ivory grips dealer applied.
