This standard Model 1892 takedown features a full octagon barrel that has been threaded for a Maxim silencer, full magazine, takedown, Winchester sporting front and rear sights, walnut stock, and rifle butt. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75% original factory blue that is mixing with the gunmetal grey patina with some minor age freckling on top of the finish with razor sharp edges and legends. Tube retains approximately 75% or better original blue mixed with gunmetal grey, especially at takedown area, and there is one small dent on left side. Left side of frame retains approximately 80% of the original factory high polish blue with brown aging and spotting coming through the finish. The bolt is 90%. Right side of frame is approximately 20% blue that is evenly mixed with brown patina and has some age spotting that is both visible and slightly textured. There is one screw on right side of frame that needs replacing. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with the usual handling marks. Traces of case colors on lever that have basically darkened, as is hammer. Action is fine. Bore exhibits sharp, strong and clean rifling.
