This beautiful, all original Krag US military rifle retains nearly all of its original factory finish. Features full round barrel, blued finish, full length walnut stock, walnut hand guard, smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel and bands retains virtually all of the original high polish factory blue finish. Original sight has brass muzzle cover. Original stocks are near mint with a couple of minor dings. Trigger guard has 85% original finish. Strong cartouche on left side reads "JSA 1901" for John Adams. Wonderful mottled finish on left side of frame, sideplate and loading gate; drifting to soft patina. Buttplate with door basically grey patina. Comes with original 1898 US bayonet, sheath and single proper period US leather sling with one frog. Near mint bore and action.
