Lot consists of: Gun (A) US 1866 Allin Conversion. All standard Allin conversion rifle with 1864 dated lockplate. Block is dated 1866 with Springfield eagle. All serial numbers were removed. Standard folding military rear sight, three barrel bands, full length walnut stock, cleaning rod. CONDITION: All metal parts have been high polish reblued. Eagle on lockplate is weak. All wood has been refinished. Fine action. Strong rifling. Includes bayonet. Gun (B) Model 1884 trapdoor rifle. All standard Model 1884 with ramrod bayonet, post front sight, two barrel bands, 1884 rear sight. Top of barrel stamped "A" and left side of barrel with "VP" eagle proof. Block is stamped "US MODEL 1884". Proper US Springfield sideplate and hammer. Stock has beautiful cartouche with script "P" at wrist and "SWP 1893" on left side. CONDITION: All metal is basically cleaned and in the white with some age freckling, spotting on trigger guard and block. Sharp legends. Walnut stock is fine condition with sharp cartouches and usual dings. Left side is unit ID'd in white paint "L85". Fine working order. Strong, clean bore. Stock is nice enough to put on a better rifle, or a good shooter as is.
