Standard configuration Cone hammer with 5.5" barrel, fixed front sight, and pinned rear sight calibrated from 50-500 meters. Early firing pin with separate retainer. Standard three line address over chamber. Crown/Crown/U on left side of barrel extension. Antler proof on right. British proofs under barrel. Front strap marked with an engraved capital "A793". Major components rust blued. Fire blued extractor, components of rear sight, firing pin retainer and the bolt stop. Trigger in white. Original 23 groove walnut grips. Extended disassembly shows all matching serial numbers including the bolt stop, firing pin, all the usually numbered internal components and each of the grips. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Original lanyard ring present. Complete with two full stripper clips, each containing ten rounds of ammunition, along with six sealed 25 round ammunition boxes. CONDITION: Approx. 70 percent original rust blue with reworking of the forward panel, left frame, presumably to remove an individualized marking. Cursor button spring needs replacement. Very Good condition grips. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Very good to excellent loaded stripper clips and boxed ammunition. One of the more unusual C96s, especially nice as it is an antique!
