This is a lovely little ladies size half stock percussion sporting rifle. They usd a colt barrel dated 1856 from a revolving rifle which was blued and has razor sharp legends. There is a seemingly interesting fixed large beech style front sight. Has a case colored backlock action with engraved hammer. Cleaning rod is attached with two thimbles. Has double set triggers. Engraved german nickel trigger guard, patchbox, and buttplate. Barrel does have a few spots of wear. We do not know when this rifle was built, but it probably more contemporary. Wood is near mint with fine grain. The bore has razor sharp rifling. A lovely little custom half stock manufactured by a very craft individual.
