Manufactured 1861 to 1863. Barrel is stamped "MADE FOR SMITH & WESSON". Made for a short period of time due to losing its lawsuit against Smith & Wesson. Features seven shot and single action. Popular carry gun during the Civil War. CONDITION: Engraved brass frame with traces of silver plating. Chocolate brown patina on barrel. Original walnut grips were very nicely checkered at one time and are not factory standard. Indexes and locks up correctly. Strong, clean bore.
