Octagonal large-bore steel barrel, tops inscribed "CN TORDU" meaning "twisted", left sides stamped with A/C". Rounded lockplates inscribed in centers "DASQUEMY/a ST. ETIENNE"with gilt wash. Both feature steel furniture in the classic French taste. Both with original horn-tipped ebony ramrods with their original steel tips. Stocks of partially figured walnut and carved with relief florals around barrel tangs. Very good condition, overall. All steel components retain a light grey spotted patina. One pistol has a broken mainspring and is missing the face of the cock screw. Stocks very good with some scattered marks from use and one pistol with a small chip behind rear lockplate tang. A very nice pair of French officer's pistols.
