Lot contains: (A) Brass hilted French small sword with tapered straight triangular blade. Pierced brass guard, knucklebow and pommel. Grip wrapped with straps of copper and braided copper wire. CONDITION: Good. Blade has been cleaned and retains a freckled grey patina with some dark spotting. Hilt is unpolished and shows wear overall. Grip is very good but slightly loose and one braided copper ferrule is deteriorated. (B) Silver hilted French small sword with straight tapered triangular blade. Pommel and knucklebow are chased with military motifs on a stippled ground. Replaced plain silver guard. Grip wrap with ornate braided silver wire. CONDITION: Good to very good. Blade shows some wear and retains a dark grey patina. Hilt shows some light wear and some dried silver polish. A nice lot of attractive small swords.
