A most unusual, likely German, rifled flintlock holster pistol, with plain flat German flintlock lock with heavy rifled barrel completely relief chiseled with what appears to be a crowned Persian king at the breech. Brass mounts, loop butt, with heavy grotesque buttcap, Germanic form trigger guard and simple Germanic brass side plate. The walnut full stock with relief carving at the wrist and around the side plate. The barrel with extremely deep eight groove rifling. Lock is crisp and function perfectly. Pistol is basically untouched as found, deeply patinated but with no appreciable wear or damage. A most interesting German flintlock pistol.
