(1977) Made in the beginning of the presentation era, this gun is listed in Browning records as an "Exhibition" model with 28" barrels choked full and full (per factory letter). Barrels are fitted with standard matted ventilated rib and have usual Belgian Browning Morgan Utah and Montreal addresses on left side of top barrel, and "BROWNING SUPERPOSED" and with steel, gauge, and chamber information on right. Coin finished action with checkered single, selective trigger is engraved in a style reminiscent of that used on the "Diana" grade with large shaded scroll as counterpoint to game scenes; a trio of pheasant erupt from woodlands on left side of action, and a trio of ducks flush from marsh on right. Bottom of action is engraved with more open shaded scroll which is also on trigger guard. Engravers signature "J. Lewanczvk" is at bottom of pheasant scene. Long tang, square knob buttstock of superbly stump/ fiddle figured Claro walnut measures 14 - 1/4" over skip line checkered wood butt. One piece schnabeled forend matches well. Gun is housed in tan Hartman case lined in faux fur, which contains instruction booklet and two keys. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with only a few of the faintest handling and assembly marks in all original finishes. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent. MGM 114
