Full magazine, blue finish, nicely figured checkered American walnut stocks with steel shotgun buttplate. Saddle ring is attached. Barrel shows two line Winchester address and patent mark rolled on left side behind rear barrel band. "NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" followed by .30 WCF caliber marking rolled on left breech beside rear sight. "WP" proof is struck on barrel breech and on top of receiver ring. Serial number is stamped on forward lower part of frame. Upper tang is marked "MODEL 1894 / WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN". CONDITION: Very fine as partially restored. Barrel and magazine show 98% of reapplied blue finish. Barrel bands show some high-point wear on both sides. Markings are sharp. Sights are very good. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver also retains 99% of the reapplied bright blue finish. Markings are sharp, screws are unmolested. Hammer and lever retain nearly all blue finish. Mechanics are crisp. Stocks are fine and retain nearly all of their piano varnish finish with some crazing on left side of butt and a few handling marks overall. Stocks are full sized. Buttplate also retains most of dull blue finish. A rarely seen deluxe Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine.
