DSP. Wow! What an incredible example of early porcelain advertising from Penn Drake Motor Oil. This is a phenomenal condition sign, as well as very rare. Side one is in incredible condition, and shows practically perfect color and gloss, and an ultra clean field free of any wear or chipping. Side one shows only a very light amount of outer edge wear, but overall practically impossible to improve upon. Side two also shows incredible color and gloss, with an ultra clean field free of any wear or chipping. The color and gloss are both outstanding, and shows an excellent graphic. Side two shows only a light amount of outer edge wear, and three small porcelain nicks at the bottom right corner, which are almost unnoticeable. Sign is mounted in a lollipop stand with an aluminum base with, "Property Of The Penn Drake Refining Co" in raised lettering. This is an incredible example of this touch to find sign, and is most likely a New Old Stock example. The finest example I have seen of this very hard to find sign.
