Rare factory nickeled Chicago palm pistol all matching, with Mother of Pearl panels in original shipping box. Approximately 25,000 of these were manufactured in the 1890's by the Chicago Firearms Co. They are an interesting and very desirable pocket pistol that involves a push lever that rotates the internal magazine that holds seven round and barrel protrudes through the shooter's top two fingers. The pistol is factory nickeled with vibrant Mother of Pearl panels and a hard rubber cushion at the back of the operating lever. Complete in original shipping box that shows "the improved protector" in use. CONDITION: Excellent plus original finish with just the most minute scuffing. Mother of Pearl panels in comparable position with no chips or discernable losses. Very good box with stains, minor losses and evidence of old tape repair. Seldom does one find such a high condition Chicago palm pistol with Mother of Pearl panels in the original shipping box. consists of factory nickel finish with black checkered gutta percha palm rests, lightly border engraved and real Mother of Pearl discs. Gun retains nearly all of its original factory finish showing no signs of having ever been fired. Operated perfect and the pearl discs are near mint, as is the gutta percha. Comes in its original cardboard picture box that shows the weapon in use. Box is extremely thin and fragile. Aprons have had some period repairs but great to display with weapon. No a particularly uncommon weapon, it is very scarce to find in near new condition it its original picture box.
