Features include full round pinned barrel with half moon front sight, six shot fluted cylinder, five screw blue frame, two piece smooth wood grip panels and factory lanyard loop. Also comes with a fine tune rear Wonder sight. These sights were adapted to the five screw guns, you could install it without modifying the gun. It also comes with a Sure grip adapter made by Mershon Co. Inc. On its own, this is a beautiful 1917 US Issue revolver. It is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under the barrel. The butt is stamped US Model 1917. Matching serial numbers on cylinder and bottom of barrel. Left side of frame has the "GHS" Gilbert Stewart cartouche. CONDITION: High condition gun that retains 95% of the original factory applied blue finish with light muzzle wear. Light high edge cylinder wear with light drag line. Grips are excellent to near mint with some minor wear at bottom edges. Indexes and locks up correctly. Retains 95% of the vivid case color on the trigger and hammer. The nice thing about this revolver is that you can remove the Wonder sight, the Sure grip adapter and replace with factory pin to restore it to original GI configuration. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves.
