In 1971, Colt had recently reintroduced the Black Powder Series and produced the Colt Model 1851 Navy to commemorative Union General Ulysses S. Grant. Features full octagon barrel, blued and case colored finish, six shot, single action, silver plated square back trigger guard and backstrap. Left side of barrel is stamped "ULYSSES S GRANT COMMEMORATIVE 1971". CONDITION: Gun is near new inside and out and comes in its original display case with flask, bullet mold, cap tin and some paper combustible cartridges.
