These were manufactured 1867 to 1881; total production of sporting rifles is less than 2,000. Features full octagon barrel, case colored frame, folding Beech front sight, sporting rear sight, walnut forend w3ith black forend tip, walnut buttstock with carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel is a mix of blue-brown patina. Case colors have basically patterned out. Extra tang screw for sight. Stocks are excellent with a couple usual handling marks. Fine action. Strong bore with clean grooves. Well cared for and scarce single shot sporting rifle.
