Overall length: 50 inches. Barrel length: 35 - 1/2 inches. This target rifle still has its original rifling, rear tube sight, and double-set triggers. The curly maple stock has an old refinish and has only one embellishment, a small "horse-head" silver cameo on the cheek piece. At one time, the barrel was shortened. This rifle was made in the upper Susquehanna region about 1840. Very nice marked "Dreppard, Lancaster" percussion lock. Obviously this target rifle was being shot until it became a collectible in good condition.
DREPPARD RIFLE.
