Features include round barrel with integral post front sight, 50 - 500 meter rear tangent sight, integral ten round box magazine, second type safety and wood grips with a red nine embossed on both grips. Over the chamber is "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF/N" and on the right side "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF NECKAR". Typical heavy machining marks and poorly fitted grips. 150,000 of these were ordered by the German army in 1916. CONDITION: Excellent with bright shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. All matching numbers. Gun retains approximately 92% of the original factory blue finish showing some handling marks and high edge wear. Comes in a matching numbered stock/holster. A very high condition German military issued broomhandle. Provenance from the Joseph A. Murphy Collection.
