Less than 1,400 of this model were made to be fitted with shoulder stocks. Round rifled steel barrel with front sight and rear leaf sight with one standing and two flip-up sights. Barrell marked with three ordnance marks on left side of breech. Flat lockplate with double line border, tang marked with crown over "V-R" cypher and center marked "1859/TOWER" along with small ordnance mark. Brass furniture, including one piece nosecap/ramrod thimble, triggerguard with strap extending into buttcap, buttcap with 4-1/2" backstrap, and small escutcheon surrounding single lock screw. Partially figured walnut stock marked on right side of grip with broad arrow over "WD" and large number "1" along with three crowns over "B/12" stamps and one crown over "B/5". Left side, opposite lick, stamped "MOXHAM". Features a steel swivel ramrod. Complete with original walnut buttstock with brass buttplate and steel sling swivel. Features a blued steel fitting with ordnance mark and double line border. Stock is also stamped "MOXHAM" on the bottom, right side stamped with large "W/D" with broad arrow and "1", all corresponding to the pistol. CONDITION: Very good. barrel with dark patina and some corrosion at breech and on boldter. Markings are crisp. Lock retains a dark patina and crisp markings. Brass mounts retain a mellow unpolished patina with some scattered marks from use. Stock excellent with clear markings and some minor scattered storage marks. Shoulder stock excellent.
