This is the last of the pre-war production and is basically your updated 1886 chambered for the powerful .348 WCF cartridge. Standard features include ramp front sight, Winchester sporting rear sight, full round barrel, half magazine, blued finish, sling swivels, short tang, walnut stocks, pistol grip with flutes buttstock and checkered steel shotgun butt. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 75-80% original factory blue, albeit thinning with soft patina coming through and light muzzle wear. Magazine is a blue-brown soft patina. 50% blue on forend cap. Sharp barrel legends. Frame retains approximately 90% original factory blue with minor high edge wear and wear on loading gate. Bolt is 95%. Excellent walnut stocks with very few minor handling impressions. Fine action and mirror bore. A Williams side mount scope base has been added; once scope is installed rifle can be used either with scope or open sights. Beautiful, top of the line, high quality hunting rifle.
