Lot consists of: Gun (A) Fine collector grade worthy of its own lot, while Gun (B) is a shooter. Both guns are Model 1890 slide action rifles and feature octagon barrels, 2/3 magazine loading tubes, takedown, Winchester sporting sights, blued finish, grooved walnut forends, walnut buttstocks and rifle butts. Gun (A) Manufactured 1912. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 85% of the factory bright original blue finish with some scattered age freckling, razor sharp edges and legends. Tube is blue-brown patina. Frame is basically brown patina with flashes of blue. Walnut stocks are excellent and proud to metal with usual light abrasion but still very nice. Fine action. Strong, visible rifling with frosted grooves. Gun (B) Manufactured 1922. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 40% original blue with razor sharp edges and legends; blending nicely with soft patina. Tube is brown patina with age freckles. Frame is a brown-grey overall patina. Nice blue on bolt. Wood is proud to metal and in excellent condition. Fine working order. Visible rifling with frosted grooves. Very respectable pair of Model 1890's.
